DAY 1 - KARAMA AREA " RUNmadan Challenge 2013 "

Al Karama, Dubai, UAE

Distance 1 Loop - 5.00 km.
Weather: 40°C
Participants: 22 Runners

DAY 1 - OUR RUNNING STORIES:

"On a hot 39°- 40°F summer weather of Dubai, I don't think
runners will dare to run today" this is what I told to my
friend Shernan when we are waiting & standing in the middle
of hot circular design pavers at Gate 3 Zabeel Park.

Seriously, I was sceptical about this run when a few hours left before we start.
And....I'm asking myself....how many runners will join my pet event.
Did my running route is safe. What if somebody collapse during our run.
Did I will receive a support from FRU (Filipino Runners United, UAE).

All of this negative thinking vanished when I saw friends waving at me,
another photographer friend arrived with his sister and a few minutes later
a group of running men smiling and rushing to us and my FRU Family
(Budo,Arisher & Amor) supports and gave an inspirational talk before
the start of the challenge.

Yes...! This is it! Our challenge starts here & right now.
22 Runners, running in the heart of Dubai City (Al Karama Area),
on a 40°C hot weather,1st Day of Ramadan, 5 Mosque visits.

May God gave us strength & bless us on the 1st Day of our journey!
